Fastest CMEs: The most energetic CMEs can reach Earth in as little as 15 to 18 hours. At this pace, they travel at speeds exceeding 6 million miles per hour.
Average Travel Time: Most CMEs travel at a more moderate pace, typically taking 1 to 3 days (average 2–3 days) to arrive.
Slowest CMEs: Slower ejections may take 4 days or longer to reach Earth. These travel at speeds around 1.3 million miles per hour
